Leather Division

Leather Division

Objects that remain.

The R10 Leather Division focuses on the development of leather goods designed to improve with time. Unlike seasonal accessories created for short-term use, these objects are constructed to endure daily repetition.

Leather softens with handling. Edges darken through contact. Structure adapts gradually to the habits of its owner.

These changes are not deterioration.

They are the completion of the object.

The division approaches leather as a material that evolves through time rather than resisting it.

Material Philosophy

Leather is selected not for uniform appearance but for long-term character.

Within the division, black Nappa leather is chosen for its ability to deepen in tone while maintaining structural softness. Grain remains visible, and surfaces are not artificially corrected to create uniformity.

As the material ages, subtle variations emerge. Oils from the hand integrate into the surface, and the leather gradually reflects the conditions in which it is used.

This process is known as patina.

Patina is not damage. It is the visible record of time interacting with material.

Objects built with integrity should welcome this transformation.

Construction

Durability begins with structural decisions made during development.

Edge finishing protects leather from separation and fraying. Stitch placement distributes tension across the object rather than allowing stress to accumulate in a single location. Interior alignment ensures that repeated use does not distort the structure.

These details are rarely visible at first glance.

They become evident only through time.

Luxury craftsmanship anticipates the future condition of the object rather than focusing solely on its initial appearance.

Objects Within the Division

The Leather Division begins with foundational accessories designed for everyday use.

These objects represent the first stage of a broader system that will expand gradually.

Wallets

Wallets remain one of the most frequently handled personal objects. They experience constant pressure, movement, and contact.

A well-constructed wallet should maintain structural balance while allowing leather to soften naturally through use.

Cardholders

Minimalist cardholders reduce the wallet to its essential function. With fewer components, material integrity and construction precision become even more important.

A properly constructed cardholder maintains a slim profile while accommodating repeated daily use.

Minimalism and Permanence

Minimalist design is often interpreted as aesthetic reduction.

Within the Leather Division, minimalism represents structural discipline.

Decoration is removed so that material quality and construction become the defining characteristics of the object.

When an accessory remains visually quiet, attention shifts toward the integrity of the material itself.

This restraint allows the object to remain relevant beyond seasonal trends.

Permanence becomes possible only when excess is removed.

Open Production

Unlike limited seasonal releases, the Leather Division operates through open production.

Objects remain available as long as their design continues to meet the standards of the division.

This approach allows refinement over time. Subtle improvements can be introduced without abandoning the original form.

Rather than constant variation, the system prioritizes stability.

The object remains.

The material evolves.

Future Development

The Leather Division represents an expanding system rather than a fixed collection.

Future development will gradually introduce additional objects designed according to the same principles of material integrity and structural permanence.

These will include:

• belts

• travel accessories

• leather trays

• passport holders

• larger carry goods

Each piece will follow the same philosophy.

Objects should not resist time.

They should improve through it.
